  • Toyota Motor Corporation is the world's third-largest automobile manufacturer, selling over 6 million vehicles each year in more than 160 countries and generating €110 billion in annual sales. Toyota Motor Marketing Europe (TMME) oversees marketing and sales activities in more than 25 countries based in Brussels, Belgium. www.toyota-europe.com

Project | 1998 - 2002

  • Development of the European online Branding, the concept and Information Architecture of the master web site.
  • Creation, implementation and maintenance of the web design including suitable CMS design templates.
  • Improvement of the design in line with the CMS development.
  • Support countries in their localization process.
  • Our team collaborated with the Internet and Marketing department of TMME.
  • All Toyota projects required effective cross-team partnerships, for instance with the marketing department of TMME, our in-house and customer technology department, the countries, and external service providers (e.g. photographers, offline agencies, etc.).
  • The project was so successful in Europe that over time other international countries such as Argentina, Brazil, China, Saudi-Arabia, Venezuela, etc., chose our solution.
  • The design went online in more than 20 different countries worldwide and even more languages. The project language was English.

Duties | Creative Direction

  • Responsible for the development of the European online Branding in order to compliment the new European offline brand, different cultures and requirements within the restrictions of the limited CMS capabilities.
  • Creation of the web design, the CMS implementation and design templates for the master site, diverse country sites, satellite sites and touch screen applications.
  • Constant improvement, further development and maintenance of the design in line with the CMS development.
  • Responsible for new 3-D model photo shoots in co-operation with the photographer.
  • Assessed, structured and labeled (nomenclature) imagery for all web sites; over 12,000 images.
  • Single point of contact for both internal and external design related issues.
  • Managed, motivated and coached as well as budgeted and coordinated the design teams.
  • Consulted and supported countries within the process of switching to the new design and CMS solution as well as create localized web sites.
  • Developed design strategy into style guide.

  • Sub brand and satellite web sites
    Diverse car model satellites, diverse Motorshow sites, Formula 1 site, Mediasite, Intranet, Touch Screen Terminals.
