- Shell GeoStar is a free service offered by Shell Europe. Shell GeoStar offers in depth journey planning for car travel across 16 countries in Western Europe.
Project | 1999 - 2000
- Development of diverse European online marketing campaigns in order to complement the offline activities. The customer was based in London. The project language was English.
- This project required an effective cross-team partnership with the offline design team, the web site design team in London, and the media agency.
- Close collaboration, teamwork and user testing made the online marketing campaigns very successful. The winning design banners and/or pop up window ads had click through rates over 10%, the average of the campaigns were about 0.5 %. The industrial average was 0.2%.
Duties | Art Direction
- Responsible for the development of concept, design and creation of diverse European online marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for promoting the online brand for Shell GeoStar throughout Europe. Major campaigns were run in Germany, England, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Additional campaigns were placed in France, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
- Single point of contact for both internal and external design related issues, presentations and budget. My team included 3 designers.
- Consulted the customer regarding affiliate programs throughout Europe.
- Provided feedback to optimize the web site and improve the User Experience.
