  • Established in 1946, Axel Springer is Germany's biggest newspaper publisher and one of the leading international media enterprises. BILD der FRAU, Europe's biggest weekly for women (5.25 mill. Readers), offers information and entertainment to women who take charge of their lives. It gives advice, is full of tips and information. www.asv.de

Project | 2001

  • Design of a website to utilize the advantages of the Internet as a medium. The site was meant to be an attractive supplement to the women's weekly magazine.
  • Responsible for developing the web design and online Corporate Identity. Launch 2001.
  • Consultancy of online Brand Identity, User Experience and technical solutions.
  • Creation of the online Brand Identity, including the logo.
  • The portal was created with an extensive range of services. Interactive elements supplemented the editorial content of the printed edition and also appealed to younger and Internet-oriented readers. The layout and the content in the news area were held and managed separately in preparation for a future CMS implementation.
  • The web site was very successful and completely accepted by the target group.

Duties | Art direction

  • Responsible for the web design and the creation of the online Brand and Corporate Identity, including the online logo 'BildderFrau.de'.
  • Advised customer regarding online Brand and Corporate Identity.
  • Development of the creative concept in close collaboration with our Information Architect.
  • Developed design strategy into style guide. This style guide provided the editors with the necessary information to maintain the web site.
  • My team included 5 designers. I was the main internal and external contact regarding all online creative activities, presentations and budgeting.
